Coloring Characters

Coloring these children’s coloring books was one of my pastimes during my hospital stay. I used coloring pencils.

Children’s Story Books

These were the only books I was able to read.

It was good for practicing reading Hiragana and Katakana.

Anata wa Daare. It contains animal sounds in the story. The animals were being asked every time who are they.IMG_20160614_081529IMG_20160614_081137 - Copy

This one is Usaji-san’s story. The spoon and the rabbit are the characters. The spoon was offering some food to the rabbit. The rabbit reacts depending on the type of food offered. ( I am not sure about it because I forgot the story)IMG_20160614_081204

Crayon Shinchan

I used to watch the animation of Crayon Shinchan several years ago.

I found the comic books on the bookshelf of a hospital.  Although, I cannot read Japanese, the book was still entertaining.

I tried drawing characters and gave them to my friends.

Here is one of them.

Paper Basket 籠 (kago)

This is one of the projects for those who are undergoing hand rehabilitation.
One time,I saw a patient. She was cutting the old calendar pages and folding them. It was interesting so I asked her about it.

She showed me her finished work. It’s a basket/籠 (kago)

After a few days, I helped her in cutting and folding. We put together the pieces of folded paper. The closing part was challenging.

Finally, with her help, I finished the basket.
